The two quality seals bioRe® Sustainable Cotton as well as bioRe® Sustainable are the right choice for all those who have high ethical and ecological demands and want to take responsibility.
bioRe® Sustainable Cotton
Fairly traded cotton marked by the bioRe® Sustainable Cotton quality label originates from controlled organic farming by smallholders in India and Tanzania. Non-GMO seeds are used for organic cotton farming. As it is almost impossible for farmers in India to buy non-GMO seeds, Remei India Ltd. has started to breed organic cotton seeds of their own. The bioRe Foundation supports and promotes this seeds-research project.
The farmers participate in decision-making and receive from Remei a purchase guarantee for their organic-cotton harvest. A premium of 15% on the regional market price is paid to the farmers.

bioRe® Sustainable Textiles
Textiles bearing the bioRe® Sustainable Textiles seal of quality can be traced back to their cultivation via a code in the garment. The individual process steps along the fully transparent supply chain are strictly controlled using the control system and by independent certifiers. The digital traceability tool my-trace by Remei also provides access to authentic stories, photos and films from the production chain.
